Cyber Instructional System Designer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Leverage instructional systems design strategies to help magnify clients' cyber training capabilities. Collaborate with military leadership, technical experts, and operational colleagues. Build, validate, implement, and evaluate critical training programs for advanced learners who are motivated to grow their skill set. Instructional System Designer will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team producing highly sophisticated, technical, and hands-on training solutions to meet the mission and time-critical needs of our client. Coordinate with subject matter experts to assess requirements, analyze learning needs, recommend solutions, and collect and analyze results using methodologies, including ADDIE and Kirkpatrick. Gather client-provided materials, conduct detailed research, and apply learning principles to develop customized instructional content and assessment strategies.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with instructional design, including developing instructor-led, self-paced, and e-learning courses using defined instructional design methodologies
  • Experience supporting data gathering using various techniques, including working groups, interviews, and surveys
  • Experience assessing student understanding, skills, and abilities to gauge proficiency in the subject
  • Experience interacting with and providing briefs to senior leaders
  • Experience facilitating conferences and large working groups
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office tool suite
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Education

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with designing Cybersecurity instruction for military learners
  • Experience determining or assessing course and curriculum equivalency against established learning outcomes, competencies, standards, or requirements
  • Experience developing course equivalency frameworks, curriculum crosswalks, articulation matrices, or competency mappings
  • Experience with interactive multimedia instruction
  • Experience with Agile development practices and JIRA
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and human performance improvement
  • Experience in Articulate Storyline for eLearning and video design and advanced PPT
  • Experience delivering professional services to the federal government, designing Section 508-compliant learning courses, conducting needs assessments, and conducting requirements development and analysis
  • Knowledge of SCORM standards
  • Master's degree in Instructional Design or Education

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
