eLearning-Multimedia Developer - Remote (DC, MD, VA- Locals only)

Swingtech is seeking a talented eLearning Developer to create engaging and interactive online learning experiences. This role focuses on developing high-quality eLearning modules that enhance training effectiveness and user engagement. This position will have local remote work options with possible travel to customer site in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include those listed below.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop eLearning courses using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, or Adobe Captivate.
  • Collaborate with the training team, including instructional designers and quality assurance reviewers, to translate course content into interactive eLearning modules.
  • Create multimedia elements, including graphics, narrations, animations, videos, simulations, and interactive quizzes, to enhance learner engagement.
  • Source graphics from approved sources, such as Getty Images.
  • Create and finetune narration using approved artificial intelligence voice generators, such as WellSaid.
  • Develop visually appealing and functional designs that align with project requirements and user needs.
  • Utilize triggers and variables to build complex interactivity, ensuring an engaging learner experience.
  • Ensure eLearning content complies with SCORM standards and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
  • Adhere closely to style guides to maintain design consistency across all training materials.
  • Develop and maintain course templates, assets, and style guides to ensure uniformity.
  • Publish eLearning content tailored to the Learning Management Systems (LMS) for LMS administrators to upload.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to eLearning content and delivery.
  • Stay current with advancements in eLearning technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve training delivery.
  • Use the organizationโ€™s project management tool to plan, prioritize, and track status of work.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong proficiency with Articulate Storyline a must.
  • Experience with Articulate Rise or Adobe Captivate is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of triggers and variables to design custom interactivity within eLearning courses.
  • Strong multimedia development skills, including experience with graphic design.
  • Experience with video editing using Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and understanding of SCORM compliance.
  • Experience with using artificial intelligence to improve task efficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to apply Section 508 accessibility standards to eLearning content development.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in eLearning development.
  • Proven ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly designs that meet learner and project requirements.
  • Experience in online curriculum development and delivery for adult learners is a plus.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or government sectors is a plus.
