Job description

Overview
Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, a national law firm with offices in all 50 States, has an immediate need for an ETT Paralegal in its Chicago office. Ideal candidates must have at least 3 years of asbestos and/or toxic tort litigation experience. There may be flexible options for successful candidates, including hybrid and remote opportunities. This is a full-time position.
Ideal candidates will have a solid knowledge of litigation support and case management, experience organizing large caseloads, discovery, trial preparation and experience assisting at trial, and familiarity with the Illinois and Federal rules of civil procedure. Responsibilities include client contact, document review and production, drafting and responding to discovery, indexing, exhibit preparation, investigation, and research.
Qualifications:
  • Significant knowledge of court rules, calendaring, e-filing and procedures.
  • Preparing and filing legal documents (Illinois federal and state courts).
  • Work independently on pleadings, discovery and motion preparation, document review, case management research and trial support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; as well as close attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills - (Microsoft Office 2016, Excel, and iManage).
  • Candidates should be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-structured setting.
  • Paralegal certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor degree is a plus, but not required.

The yearly salary range is between $45,000-$100,000. This position is open to all experience levels. The actual salary offered may be above or below the identified range and will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, including the location where the position is filled.
