This position is designed for a Mental Health Therapist who will work in the comfort of their own home while offering outpatient services to our patients. Our remote work setting emphasizes flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to create a healthy work-life balance while maintaining the highest standards of care. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed based on patient demand.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of elderly patients, leveraging established clinical tools and methodologies.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that consider patients' cognitive and physical health, social circumstances, and personal histories.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to facilitate individual and family therapy sessions.
• Work collaboratively with geriatric psychiatrists and interdisciplinary health teams to coordinate comprehensive care for elderly patients.
• Provide timely crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring safety and emotional support during mental health emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and access to community resources, fostering informed decision-making.
• Maintain precise documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient privacy and accurate records.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and service delivery.
• Stay abreast of current literature, research, and best practices in geriatric psychiatry to continuously refine therapeutic approaches.

Your primary focus will be on the geriatric population, assessing and treating a wide range of mental health conditions. You will develop therapeutic relationships with elderly individuals, often dealing with complex emotional and psychological issues that require sensitivity and understanding. Your expertise will help improve their mental well-being and overall quality of life.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in Illinois.
• A commitment to empathetic care with the ability to establish rapport with elderly patients and their families.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications, essential for patient management and documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a deep understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and treatment modalities.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specifically in geriatric mental health counseling.
• Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy to older adults, enhancing treatment effectiveness through tailored engagement strategies.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The salary range for this position is USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting your qualifications and experience.
