As part of an interdisciplinary cloud architecture team, you will take on important tasks and responsibilities in the context of projects and services in close cooperation with your engineering colleagues and our customers. In this role, you will design and implement modern cloud technologies, where a sustainable design of the IT architecture and a very high stability and availability of the application landscape are important to you. With us, you will not become a PowerPoint architect, you are responsible for both the conception and the implementation of cloud architectures based on the defined requirements of our customers. You also advise already within the scope of the requirements management and in the design of the solution. You include security and governance from day one of the design in your decisions. Your tasks include:

• You are the subject matter expert for our customers & lead our cloud & devsecops engineers professionally
• You translate customer requirements into highly available and secure cloud architectures taking into account the software architecture and the use of cutting-edge technologies & trends
• You choose the right platform for the solution – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS or FaaS? Containerized or serverless?
• You are responsible for the governance of the environment and design corresponding processes and tools (e.g. using Azure Policy, Terraform Sentinel or Open Policy Agent)
• At the architecture level, you are responsible for the security of the environment. Here you successfully convince our customers of the benefits of identity-driven security concepts, zero-trust paradigms, and devsecops compared to the classic network-based security approach
• You implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and live "automate everything" (primarily based on Terraform)
• You design and implement container-based solutions, primarily based on (managed) Kubernetes & design continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g. based on Gitlab, Github, Azure DevOps or Jenkins) to increase efficiency in the customer project

In addition to your passion for cloud architectures, you bring an information technology study or a comparable education and several years of professional experience in the implementation of IT architectures in interaction with cloud-based services and platforms. You also bring the following skills:

• Certifications in the areas of Azure or Kubernetes – preferably as an architect
• Broad knowledge of the current cloud service portfolios of the big players (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Knowledge of the methodologies of subject-specific leadership, agile approach, and IT architecture
• Professional communication skills in German and English
• High sense of responsibility and proactivity
