Job description

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for growing Central Bark’s digital presence, driving online engagement, and ensuring brand consistency across all web and digital platforms. This role oversees national and local (franchise-level) digital initiatives, manages external vendors, and supports franchisees with tools, resources, and best practices.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on digital expertise in SEO/GEO, SEM, social media, content, and analytics. They serve as the primary liaison between the Central Bark brand and its franchise network, ensuring both corporate and local digital efforts are optimized and aligned with brand strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

· Brand & Digital Presence

· Manage Central Bark’s national website and franchise digital platforms (Google Business, social media).

· Ensure engaging, accurate content is published to elevate brand awareness and drive visibility.

· Lead content strategy for blogs, newsletters, and video storytelling.

· Oversee online reputation management and guide franchisees on responding to reviews.

· Franchisee Support & Training

· Serve as the main contact for franchisees on digital marketing needs.

· Onboard and train new franchisees on digital setup (websites, listings, social media).

· Maintain training materials and LMS modules for ongoing education.

· Provide feedback and consultation to help improve individual performance online.

· SEO/SEM & Analytics

· Develop and execute SEO/SEM strategies to maximize visibility, traffic, and ROI.

· Conduct keyword research, track KPIs, and report actionable insights using Google Analytics.

· Collaborate with vendors to enhance campaigns, site functionality, and integrations.

· Project & Vendor Management

· Manage digital marketing vendors for efficiency, accountability, and ROI.

· Lead improvements to digital tools, content, and processes across the franchise system.

· Align all digital initiatives with broader marketing and business objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 4–6 years of digital marketing experience, franchise or multi-unit brand experience is a must.

· Strong knowledge of SEO/SEM, social media, local listings, and analytics.

· Preferred proficiency with current version of Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with design, web and multimedia applications.

· Proven ability to manage content across platforms and multiple priorities.

· Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

· Business acumen with the ability to influence and support franchisee success.

Work Environment & Travel

Remote position with national collaboration. Standard Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evening/weekend work for events or launches. Travel as needed for meetings, trainings, or company functions.
