Health Assessment & Counseling PLLC is seeking an experienced and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team. This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in balancing work and personal responsibilities. • Conduct thorough initial assessments for new clients to understand their unique mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on established therapy models.
• Provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to foster positive change.
• Document and maintain accurate progress notes and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and legal adherence while using our electronic health record systems.
• Engage in team meetings and collaborate with other health professionals to discuss client progress and modify treatment approaches as necessary.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through supervision, training sessions, and staying updated on the latest research and clinical practices in marriage and family therapy.
• Maintain ethical standards of practice, adhering to guidelines set forth by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

In this role, you will serve a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges. This might include issues such as relationship conflicts, parenting difficulties, trauma recovery, and mental health disorders. Your ability to relate to and connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences is paramount.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience, demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a therapeutic setting.
• Strong foundation in diagnostic practices and treatment planning per the DSM-5 framework.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for meaningful engagement with clients and collaboration with peers.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate streamlined documentation processes.

• Proven track record of providing marriage and family therapy services to a wide range of populations and age groups.
• Experience in specialty areas such as trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, or child and adolescent therapy.
• Familiarity with remote therapy delivery platforms and best practices for virtual care.
