Connect Deeper Counseling Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality therapeutic services to clients, particularly focusing on mothers and underrepresented populations. Your expertise will help navigate the socioeconomic determinants affecting mental health, making a significant impact within the community.

About the Organization

Connect Deeper Counseling Center is a progressive telehealth-focused mental health organization based in Madras, Oregon. Our mission is to provide accessible and compassionate mental health care to individuals and families, breaking down barriers that often prevent communities from seeking the support they need. We prioritize diversity, inclusion, and holistic approaches in our therapeutic practices, ensuring that every client receives personalized care.

Work Environment

This position allows for a fully remote work environment, enabling a flexible schedule that accommodates your personal and professional life. Our telehealth model is designed to increase accessibility for clients, particularly those in underserved areas. With minimal paperwork, our therapists can focus on what matters most: patient interaction and providing impactful therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including assessments related to criminal behavior and substance abuse, to create comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that adhere to standard practice guidelines, tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Write detailed clinical reports and maintain accurate documentation of patient care, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency consultations during scheduled workdays, supporting clients in urgent situations with clinical precision.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams, communicating recommendations and insights that enhance patient management and treatment outcomes.
  • Evaluate suicide risk using established clinical guidelines, ensuring a thorough and accurate documentation process that prioritizes client safety.
  • Facilitate supportive therapy and education for individuals, guiding them through their treatment journey and promoting healthy coping mechanisms.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on working with diverse client populations, particularly mothers and individuals from underrepresented communities, who face unique challenges in accessing mental health services. You will engage clients struggling with mental health disorders, substance abuse, and other related issues, providing empathetic and culturally competent care.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited program (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).
  • An active and independent state license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) to practice in Oregon.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, ensuring efficient documentation and communication with clients and team members.
  • Strong ability to manage a large caseload independently while collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in conducting mental health assessments and community outreach, particularly with populations at risk due to socioeconomic factors.
  • Familiarity with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders.
  • Demonstrated passion for enhancing the lives of others through therapeutic relationships and evidence-based interventions.
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to commute for on-site visits when necessary, serving local veterans and other community members.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 50,000 and 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Professional liability insurance to safeguard your practice.
  • An employee assistance program dedicated to supporting your mental well-being.
  • Full caseload opportunities for a rewarding and busy schedule with minimal administrative burden.
