Job description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll be seen as an engineering expert across the organization, providing leadership and technical support for industrial utility systems and engineering compliance programs in a consumer products environment. Industrial utility systems include refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial gasses. Engineering compliance programs include OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP), specifically ammonia refrigeration and propane.You'll deliver technical support through troubleshooting, regulatory and compliance program updates, engineering specification revisions, project scope development, physical assessments, and training programs for plant staff. You'll provide project support through detailed design reviews, system installation inspections, and commissioning to ensure system performance and reliability. In addition, you'll offer technical engineering guidance where equipment may need modification or repair for immediate improvement in an upset condition and clearly articulate justifications to stakeholders to influence improvements and implementation.Your ImpactLead and support ammonia PSM and RMP programs for all Conagra facilities.Manage and facilitate the PSM Scorecard and report KPIs to senior leadership.Conduct and support Mechanical Integrity, PHA, and Compliance Audits to meet OSHA and EPA requirements.Collaborate with plant, corporate, and contract resources to ensure timely development and submission of PSM projects.Serve as an active member and facilitator of the Engineering and EHS PSM Steering Committee to capture cross-functional input on technical safety risk.Coordinate and prioritize in the capital planning process at both plant and corporate levels.Partner with platform and project engineering leadership to develop annual and three-year capital plans by recommending proven system improvements and solutions.Review Technical Briefs to provide guidance to project teams and ensure scope completeness.Work with the Engineering Project Manager to establish design schedules that align with overall project timelines.Support plant operations by identifying and optimizing refrigeration equipment and system performance.Stay current with industry regulations and codes related to equipment system design and operation for the food processing industry.Your ExperienceBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.10+ years of manufacturing experience5+ years of experience managing a plant PSM programKnowledge of IIAR Standards and other industry RAGAGEP.Process Safety Management Professional (PSMP) Certification or willing to obtain.This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations East of Denver, CO and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airportWillingness to travel up to 50% of the time to other Conagra facilities.#LI-Remote#LI-PM2#LI-MSLCompensation Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position.
