Job Overview
The Remote Traveling Estate Specialist is a full-time remote position. In this position you will be responsible for quickly evaluating items, negotiating price and purchasing collectible items directly from clientele at buying events in partner jewelry stores. These purchased items are then assessed, cleaned and listed for resale at auction. A successful Remote Traveling Estate Specialist has a strong understanding of the items we purchase along with the industry knowledge required to confidently communicate product value and purchase items from customers according to National Rarities policies and values.
Requirements
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Travel to sponsored buying events, negotiate pricing and purchase jewelry, diamonds, watches, sterling silver, gold, coins, currency, fine art, memorabilia, autographs and other valuable items.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to sponsors and customers while efficiently closing sales.
  • Accurately identify and describe items for online auction resale.
  • Follow company processes for buying policies and customer experience standards.
  • Ability to visit headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri for 3 weeks of training upon hire and an additional two visits for training (in July and January)

Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience buying and/or appraising jewelry or other estate items.
  • Ability to travel independently at least 30 weeks per year on 4-5 consecutive day trips.
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs on a regular basis with ease.
  • Strong visual acuity to focus closely on and identify fine print and hallmarks.
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license. Real ID and valid Passport required upon hire.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be confident, positive and poised.
  • Ability to reason intelligently and communicate clearly.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Certifications such as GG, AJP, Master Watchmaker preferred.
