We are seeking empathetic and driven Initial Claims Intake Coordinators to serve as the vital first point of contact for prospective Veterans pursuing initial VA disability claims. In this fully remote role, you will focus on qualifying leads, educating Veterans on required documentation, and guiding them on how to obtain necessary materials. By providing proactive follow-up and empathetic support, you will ensure our nation's heroes are fully prepared for a successful consultation-making a tangible, positive impact on their lives from day one.
Day in the Life
Engage Initial Claims leads through inbound and outbound calls
Qualify prospective Veterans based on established Initial Claims criteria
Educate Veterans on required documentation and where to obtain records
Provide compliant resources and guidance to support documentation collection
Conduct structured follow-up to track progress and maintain momentum
Assist with limited document gathering or organization when needed
Establish rapport through professional, empathetic communication
Accurately document all interactions, qualification status, and next steps in the CRM
Ensure Veterans meet readiness standards prior to handoff
Coordinate warm handoffs to closing Intake Coordinators
Adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and data privacy requirements
Participate in training, coaching, and process improvement initiatives

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Must Haves
2+ years of inside sales support, or customer-facing experience
Strong verbal communication skills and phone presence
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to explain processes clearly and guide Veterans step-by-step
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
VA disability, medical, or healthcare-related experience
Experience working with veterans or military families
Background in intake, qualification, or documentation-heavy roles
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Position Details
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Start Date: August 19th, 2026
Schedule:
Training: 8:00am - 5:00pm EST CST MST PST (Monday - Friday)
Post-Training: 8:00am - 5:00pm EST CST MST PST (Monday - Friday)
