The Impact You'll Make

  • Lead a design team to develop and design roadway projects for state and local clients.
  • Foster a team environment to ensure a high-quality level of work is being produced.
  • Develop and review plans and computations to ensure quality and accuracy of the design work and construction plans.
  • Responsible for various aspects of roadway design projects from conceptual phase to final design
  • Coordinate and distribute discipline-specific work with team to adhere to project requirements, budget, and schedule
  • Work with counterparts from other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects
  • Assist in direct marketing efforts, including proposal writing, trade show/conference attendance
  • Maintain industry recognition through prominence in state and regional professional associations

The Expertise You'll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 6+ years of experience in INDOT roadway design or local road design
  • Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and OpenRoads
  • Indiana PE or the ability to obtain it within 6 months
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
