This role can be based in Denver, CO following our flexible work policy (3 days in-office, 2 days flexible). or remote, US.

The Director, Global Benefits will provide strategic leadership for the design, governance, administration, and continuous improvement of Vantage's global benefits programs. This role is responsible for developing a comprehensive global benefits strategy that aligns with Vantage's business objectives, supports our employees' well-being, and enables our continued international growth.

The Director will lead benefits strategy and operations across North America, EMEA and APAC, ensuring compliance with local regulations, driving operational excellence, optimizing vendor partnerships, and delivering a consistent employee experience globally while balancing regional market needs. This role will partner closely with People & Culture, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and external providers to ensure our programs remain competitive, sustainable, and scalable.

The Director will establish and continuously evolve Vantage's global benefits philosophy, balancing employee wellbeing, market competitiveness, financial stewardship, and regional flexibility. This leader will leverage data, technology, and market intelligence to build scalable programs that enhance employee experience while supporting Vantage's long-term business strategy.

Essential Duties

Global Benefits Strategy and Design

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global benefits strategy that supports Vantage's growth objectives, talent strategy, and employee value proposition.

  • Establish and continuously evolve Vantage's global benefits philosophy, balancing employee wellbeing, market competitiveness, fiscal responsibility, and regional flexibility.

  • Lead the evaluation, design, and enhancement of health, welfare, retirement, wellbeing, leave, and ancillary benefit programs globally.

  • Lead the evolution of Vantage's global wellbeing strategy, including physical, mental, financial, and family wellbeing programs that strengthen employee engagement, productivity, and retention.

  • Ensure benefits programs remain competitive through regular market benchmarking and analysis of industry best practices.

  • Establish governance frameworks that balance global consistency with regional flexibility and local market requirements.

Benefits Operations and Administration

  • Oversee the administration and delivery of all global benefits programs, ensuring operational excellence, scalability, and a high-quality employee experience.

  • Drive the optimization of benefits technology, self-service capabilities, and digital employee experiences through Workday and other global benefits administration platforms.

  • Continuously evaluate and implement technology solutions that simplify administration, improve data quality, and enhance the overall employee experience.

  • Develop and maintain standardized processes, controls, and documentation to ensure efficient and compliant program administration.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure accurate enrollment, eligibility management, claims administration, and employee support.

Vendor and Consultant Management

  • Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of global benefits brokers, consultants, administrators, and other service providers.

  • Develop long-term strategic partnerships with global vendors to drive innovation, improve service delivery, and maximize return on investment.

  • Drive vendor performance through established service-level agreements, performance metrics, audits, and regular business reviews.

  • Identify opportunities for program enhancements, consolidation, and cost optimization through vendor partnerships.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and reporting requirements across jurisdictions, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave programs, and applicable tax regulations.

  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and internal audit teams to proactively identify and mitigate compliance and operational risks.

  • Oversee required audits, filings, disclosures, and governance activities, and compliance reviews to ensure operational integrity and mitigate enterprise risk across all regions.

Benefits Analytics and Financial Stewardship

  • Develop predictive reporting, dashboards, and analytics that provide actionable insights into benefit utilization, employee engagement, cost trends, participation, and program effectiveness to support strategic business decisions.

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes related to benefits programs.

  • Partner with Finance to manage benefits expenditures and identify opportunities to improve value while maintaining a competitive employee offering.

  • Leverage data to identify opportunities to improve workforce wellbeing, optimize benefit investments, and enhance the overall employee value proposition.

Employee Experience and Communications

  • Develop and execute global benefits communication and education strategies that improve employee understanding, engagement, and utilization of benefit offerings.

  • Ensure employees and managers have access to effective tools, resources, and guidance regarding benefits programs and policies.

  • Continuously assess employee feedback, utilization trends, and market practices to identify opportunities to improve the employee benefits experience.

Leadership and Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as the global subject matter expert for benefits and wellbeing programs. Present benefits strategy, financial analyses, market trends, and recommendations to executive leadership to support enterprise decision-making and long-term workforce planning.

  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and regional People teams to ensure alignment of benefits programs with organizational priorities.

  • Support mergers, acquisitions, international expansions, and other strategic initiatives through benefits due diligence, integration planning, and implementation.

  • Build and develop a high-performing benefits team capable of supporting Vantage's long-term growth strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.

  • CEBS, CBP, or other relevant benefits certifications preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading benefits programs, including significant experience managing multinational or global benefits programs.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing benefit strategies across multiple countries and regions.

  • Deep knowledge of employee benefits, retirement plans, wellbeing programs, leave administration, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Proven experience managing benefits vendors, consultants, brokers, and strategic partnerships.

  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing benefits budgets, forecasting, and cost analyses.

  • Experience developing benefits metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reporting to inform business decisions.

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, manage complex projects, and build scalable programs in high-growth environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision making.

  • Experience with Workday and global benefits administration systems preferred.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $180,000- $200,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits.

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
