Position Summary

We are currently seeking a full-time ERISA Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance Department. The Compliance Department performs year-end nondiscrimination testing and Form 5500 reporting, prepares and maintains plan documents, and provides ERISA technical support for our clients' retirement plans.


This is a fully remote position based out of our headquarters in Mobile, AL, and it reports to the Director of Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

(Must be able to perform these functions, with or without reasonable accommodation)

  • Prepare nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and plan document amendments for assigned clients
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of qualified plan regulations
  • Learn and maintain a working knowledge of all software and tools necessary to perform job duties, particularly FT William applications used to complete nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500 filings, and plan documents
  • Complete additional compliance-related projects as assigned
  • Respond to ERISA technical questions from plan sponsors and administrators
  • Follow company policies and procedures


Requirements

(Required to enable the job holder to perform the essential functions of the role)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to develop strong proficiency in Relius, FT William, and the Company's CRM platform
  • Ability to learn and understand department processes, procedures, and standards
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult individuals or situations
Experience and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Two or more years of ERISA compliance-related work experience, along with accounting coursework, may be substituted for a degree
  • ASPPA CPC, QPA, or QKA professional credentials are a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Prior experience with Relius, FT William, or similar software is a plus
