Summary

This is an opportunity for a practical, hands-on cybersecurity leader to make a visible impact across a global technology environment. As Manager, IT Security, you will lead a capable team, strengthen security practices, and help protect critical IT, OT, cloud, identity, data, and AI-enabled environments. The role offers meaningful ownership, broad exposure, and the ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution in a complex, evolving security environment.

This position will be located at our 4700 47 Street SE Calgary, AB location.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Lead security operations including detection, incident response, vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
  • Optimize security platforms (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, identity, remote access), ensuring they are configured, maintained and effective.
  • Strengthen enterprise security across infrastructure, cloud and Microsoft 365 focusing on identity, privileged access, MFA and data protection.
  • Enable secure OT and AI adoption by providing guidance on segmentation, monitoring, data handling and third-party risk.
  • Advance risk and compliance by developing standards, support policies, conducting risk assessments, supporting audits and track remediation.
  • Mentor the security team and collaborate with IT, business leaders and vendors, to embed security into all initiatives.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or technical diploma in IT, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, with 8+ years of progressive cybersecurity or IT security experience.
  • Experience leading cybersecurity professionals, technical teams, or security service providers while remaining engaged in technical decision-making.
  • Strong experience in incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, log analysis, monitoring, and enterprise security tools.
  • Practical knowledge of network, cloud, Microsoft 365, identity, privileged access, conditional access, remote access, encryption, data protection, OT security, and AI security considerations.
  • Experience with cybersecurity governance, risk management, audits, control frameworks, and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOX, or PCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant security certification such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CRISC, CCSP, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SOX, executive risk reporting, OT security frameworks, SCADA or ICS environments, IEC 62443, AI governance, or responsible AI practices.
