Direct Support Professionals work 1:1 with children who have Autism to help them reach goals in the home and community setting.

Position Description

Hours available are typically after school and on the weekends. Must be available to work at least 12 hours/week and must be available at least 3 afternoon/evenings during the week.

Responsibilities

Abide by HIPAA policies and procedures

ยท Implement plans as instructed by the Behavior Consultant

ยท Collect unbiased and accurate data and submit documentation timely

ยท Proactively communicate with supervisors

ยท Maintain reliable transportation, a driverโ€™s license, and car insurance

ยท Transporting consumers

Skills & Attitudes

Maintain professional relationships with clients

ยท Approach stressful situations with grace

ยท Team-player

ยท Communicate effectively and be able to resolve conflict in a straightforward and timely manner

ยท Remain organized, great time management skills

ยท Friendly, empathetic

Education & Experience

At least 100 hours of related personal, professional, or volunteer experience with children who have Autism

ยท Preferred Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a related field to Behavior Analysis or Education, including: special education, child development and psychology among others

ยท Preferred one year of experience working in a related field
