In your role as a Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Deliver trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, ensuring that each session is client-centered and tailored to individual needs.
• Incorporate Christian counseling principles for clients seeking a faith-centered approach, while respecting the diverse beliefs of our clientele.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with client goals, utilizing evidence-based practices to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Manage a caseload through scheduled sessions, while maintaining accurate and timely client records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Actively participate in community outreach initiatives to generate referrals and build relationships with local churches and organizations, enhancing our network and visibility in the community.
• Collaborate closely with other health professionals, such as social workers and clinical therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Engage in continuous communication with the center director regarding your availability, caseload management, and professional development needs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid and independently held LPC, LMFT, or LCSW license in Washington, with a willingness to engage in professional development.
• Strong knowledge of Biblical counseling principles and therapeutic modalities.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, particularly in trauma counseling.
• Excellent communication skills, along with the ability to connect and work effectively with diverse populations.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice standards.

While a minimum of one year of experience in trauma-informed counseling is required, the following qualifications are highly regarded:

• Experience providing therapy within a community health framework.
• Dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland.
• Training in EMDR or a commitment to complete EMDR basic training within the first 90 days of employment.

This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 105,000, reflecting your experience and qualifications. We provide a flexible schedule that allows you to choose your own hours from Monday to Friday.
