  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to guide clients toward recovery.
  • Engage with clients and their families to educate them about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and enhance clientsโ€™ overall treatment experience.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in treating mood disorders to refine and improve therapy strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.

  • Advocate for clientsโ€™ mental health needs and play a proactive role in addressing the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients include individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. In addition, our services extend to vulnerable populations, including individuals confronting homelessness, refugees seeking stability, and victims of domestic violence. Your role will center around delivering compassionate care that effectively meets these unique needs.

Qualifications

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Demonstrable empathy and a non-judgmental approach to each individualโ€™s experiences and struggles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively juggle caseloads, documentation, and administrative tasks.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, particularly with mood disorders.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices is preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competency in therapy.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including paid time off, retirement plans, and health insurance.
  • Opportunities for ongoing education and professional development, particularly in addiction counseling and related fields.
  • A supportive, collaborative work environment that values team growth and provides continual training.
  • A chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of individuals working toward long-term recovery and rehabilitation.
