Reporting directly to a Digital Director or Senior Digital Director, the Digital Product Manager is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the vision, strategy, and iterative growth of our digital product portfolio in the Optum Financial Digital Experience with a focus on commercial products. This position demands a highly innovative leader who excels in defining strategic roadmaps, advocating for exceptional user experiences, and ensuring operational excellence in product delivery.
This role will be focused on empowering users through self-service, guidance, and education in the digital experience with a focus on:

As the guiding force for product management, this role requires a deep understanding of roadmap development, cross-functional collaboration, user-centric strategy, agile development frameworks, and post-launch iterative optimization. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Vision & Goals: Define the strategic vision and measurable goals for digital products based on insights from real-world data, customer research, and organizational objectives. Define tracking mechanisms for product performance metrics, user adoption, and feature effectiveness to drive improvements
  • User-Centricity: Emphasize user-centric principles to deliver innovative, scalable, and technology-forward solutions. Utilize post-deployment analytics including NPS, adobe tagging, and other analyses for scaling efforts that enhance user satisfaction and operational outcomes
  • Road mapping: Align the product roadmap with long-term business priorities to drive both growth and operational efficiencies. Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps incorporating stakeholder feedback, market trends, and data insights. Conduct competitive market analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for differentiation
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, executive leaders, and cross-functional teams, serving as the product vision's champion. Conduct regular reviews and accountability of product KPIs, measuring adoption, retention, engagement, and ROI
  • Customer Research & Testing: Direct user research studies, usability testing, and surveys to uncover opportunities and improve product positioning. Manage competing demands across multiple initiatives while ensuring alignment with corporate goals

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in digital product management or related roles, ideally within enterprise-scale environments
  • 4+ years of proven ability to indirectly influence teams across product ownership and managerial roles while driving measurable outcomes and navigate dotted-line management of UX/UI teams, and engineering groups with clarity, empathy, and inspiration
  • 4+ years of experience in executive-level stakeholder management and communication
  • 4+ years of experience with agile frameworks and leveraging tools like JIRA or similar platforms for product management and delivery
  • 4+ years of experience with analytics tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Adobe Analytics, and/or Google Analytics for performance tracking and optimization
  • 4+ years of experience with A/B testing platforms and modern UX/UI methodologies for improving user satisfaction
  • 4+ years of experience with Adobe Content Management (Adobe CMS)
  • Highly adaptable with experience navigating ambiguity or shifting priorities in complex environments
  • Proven solid problem-solving and creative thinking with a data-driven approach
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence and collaboration proficiency to foster trust
  • Proven skilled communicator capable of driving alignment across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management or related roles with a focus on financial services, investments, bill pay and/or healthcare and healthcare related expenses
  • Experience as a product owners/technical product owner/manager
  • Experience as User Experience designer including ability to use and navigate Figma
  • Experience in basic level front end software development
  • Familiarity with managing a P/L and creating CBAs
  • Experience with data analysis and synthesizing datasets to empower impacts/changes to the roadmap
  • Experience in payments or money movement

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
