About Darien Advisors

Darien Advisors is a crypto-native tax, accounting, and strategic advisory firm serving investors, founders, and digital-asset businesses.

Our work sits at the intersection of traditional financial operations and the evolving digital-asset economy. We help clients organize complex financial activity, reconcile transactions across wallets and platforms, maintain accurate books and records, meet reporting obligations, and make informed decisions with greater clarity.

  7. IRS and state-agency resolution
  8. Backlog cleanup and amended filings
  9. Accounting support for digital-asset businesses

We are a fully remote firm that values sound judgment, clear communication, accountability, and the ability to work effectively through complexity.

What You Will Do

  1. Oversee accounting delivery across an assigned portfolio of clients
  2. Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, reconciliations, reporting, and related deliverables
  3. Review balance sheets, income statements, general ledgers, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting workpapers
  4. Evaluate the completeness and accuracy of accounting records and identify matters requiring correction, clarification, or escalation
  5. Review work completed by accounting team members and provide clear, actionable feedback
  6. Monitor deadlines, priorities, capacity, and outstanding client information across assigned engagements
  7. Serve as a primary point of coordination for assigned clients and maintain clear communication regarding deliverables, open items, and timelines
  8. Support the onboarding and transition of new accounting clients
  9. Work with tax and advisory professionals to ensure accounting records support broader client needs
  10. Help resolve complex cleanup matters involving incomplete records, historical inconsistencies, multiple entities, or digital-asset activity
  11. Protect confidential client and firm information in accordance with applicable contractual and security requirements
  12. Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements to templates, workflows, documentation, and quality-control processes
  13. Help shape scalable accounting workflows and service-delivery standards as the firm grows

What We Are Looking For

  2. At least two years of experience reviewing accounting work, managing client portfolios, or coordinating accounting teams
  3. Strong experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and general-ledger management
  4. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial-reporting requirements applicable to assigned clients
  5. Experience managing multiple client engagements, deadlines, and competing priorities
  6. Ability to review accounting records critically and identify errors, unsupported balances, missing information, and process gaps
  7. Experience with cloud-based accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online or Xero
  8. Strong written communication and the ability to explain accounting matters clearly and constructively
  9. Professional judgment when handling incomplete information, sensitive matters, or competing priorities
  10. Ability to coordinate work effectively within a remote environment
  11. A secure and reliable working environment appropriate for handling confidential information

  6. Familiarity with cryptocurrency or other digital-asset accounting
  7. Familiarity with wallets, exchanges, stablecoins, DeFi, staking, token activity, or other onchain transactions
  8. Familiarity with Karbon or another practice-management platform
  9. Experience with technology, startup, professional-services, or digital-asset clients
