Job Title: Digital Accessibility Analyst

Job Description

This role focuses on evaluating and improving the accessibility of web and mobile digital products to ensure they comply with recognised standards and provide an inclusive experience for all users. You will carry out accessibility audits, support remediation efforts, and collaborate closely with designers, developers, and product owners to embed accessibility into digital solutions using Agile methodologies. The position is fully remote, with regular weekday hours, and requires residence within reasonable travel distance of Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate web and mobile digital products for adherence to accessibility best practices and WCAG guidelines.
  • Support remediation efforts by collaborating with design, development, and product teams to resolve identified accessibility issues.
  • Conduct ongoing accessibility testing using both manual and automated processes to verify compliance and effectiveness of solutions.
  • Develop clear user stories and acceptance criteria that capture accessibility requirements within Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Provide practical recommendations to designers, developers, and product owners to promote an inclusive and accessible digital experience.
  • Maintain advanced and up-to-date knowledge of current WCAG guidelines and use this expertise to inform design and development decisions.
  • Perform detailed accessibility audits on new and existing web and mobile properties and present findings to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Use common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and screen magnifiers to validate that accessibility solutions are effective for real users.
  • Offer accessibility guidance across UX/UI design, front-end development, and quality assurance testing for digital products.
  • Communicate audit results, risks, and recommended actions clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team, sharing responsibility and accountability for accessibility outcomes.
  • Manage multiple accessibility projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining organised documentation and tracking progress.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a corporate environment; equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of professional work in a corporate setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in the field of digital experience design, UX research, or usability.
  • Strong understanding of digital accessibility principles and practical application of WCAG guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex accessibility concepts clearly.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across design, development, and product teams.
  • Strong organisational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience using common assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and screen magnifiers for testing digital accessibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to create user stories and acceptance criteria that incorporate accessibility requirements in Agile environments.

This is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46.89 - $46.89/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
