Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is on the lookout for a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to support our outpatient specialty clinic in Portland, Oregon. This full-time remote role offers the opportunity to provide virtual care while directly impacting patientsโ€™ lives, particularly those dealing with diabetes and related health issues. Work Environment

The Registered Dietitian position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong emphasis on patient interaction and team collaboration. The role accommodates an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule, with potential for some evening or weekend shifts depending on patient needs. Utilizing telehealth technology, you will connect with patients, ensuring they receive personalized support in a comfortable setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments utilizing various tools and methodologies to evaluate patients' medical histories and dietary habits.

  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that align with the unique needs and goals of each patient, particularly focusing on diabetes management.

  • Deliver evidence-based nutrition counseling by engaging with patients and their families to instill healthy eating practices and behaviors.

  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting care plans and recommendations based on their evolving health status.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, consisting of endocrinologists, certified diabetes educators, and healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care.

  • Provide educational resources on carbohydrate counting, insulin therapy management, and lifestyle modifications targeted toward diabetes control.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to healthcare regulations.

  • Stay updated on current nutrition research and best practices, integrating this knowledge into patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily be working with patients diagnosed with diabetes and other related health conditions. Our patients often include those managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, individuals requiring weight management solutions, and patients with specific dietary restrictions such as food allergies or gastrointestinal issues. Your role will be pivotal in educating and empowering patients to navigate their dietary challenges and achieve their health goals.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.

  • Possession of a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

  • Active state licensure to practice as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Oregon or eligibility for the same.

  • Strong foundation in nutrition science and principles, especially regarding medical nutrition therapy and dietary guidelines.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, critical for effective patient engagement and education.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in outpatient care settings, particularly focusing on diabetes management, is a plus.

  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual patient management tools is highly desirable.

  • Participation in multidisciplinary teams and collaboration with healthcare professionals in care settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, complemented by performance bonuses.
