Account Manager - Survey & Geospatial Equipment (Sales) - West Los Angeles County

Position Summary
California Surveying & Drafting Supply (CSDS) is seeking an experienced, driven Outside Sales Representative to join its Land Survey and Construction Division. Reporting to the Survey Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the demonstration, promotion and sale of high-end land surveying products and will possess a proven track record of success in closing complex solution sales. The sales territory will consist of West Los Angeles County, Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, and Antelope Valley.
The ideal candidate should be based in the San Fernando Valley area (including North Hollywood, Panorama City, Van Nuys, and the nearby areas) to facilitate frequent travel for on-site client visits and ensure timely, efficient support.
In this role, you will...
The Survey Sales Representative will be responsible for meeting or exceeding annual sales targets in the assigned region by:
  • Actively seeking leads and sales opportunities
  • Identifying and developing key vertical markets in the territory
  • Interfacing and developing strong relationships with key end users
  • Closing sales to end users of land surveying hardware and software solutions
  • Presenting complex technical sales presentations
  • Explaining ROI and clear financial benefits of the Trimble surveying portfolio
  • Attending tradeshows and industry events
  • Traveling extensively in the territory to ensure close customer contact

About you...
  • Knowledge of land surveying / engineering / laser scanning / photogrammetry / aerial / land mobile and other Geospatial technologies highly desired but not mandatory
  • Direct sales skills - track record of success
  • Solution selling with strong ability to communicate ROI

  • Presentation skills / speaking ability - to drive new technologies
  • Land surveying, civil engineering, geography and/or business, finance, economics) and 2-5+ years of field experience with sales in the GIS, civil engineering, land surveying, aerial mapping, infrastructure or construction fields
