  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available support resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation to adhere to legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in case consultations and professional development activities, promoting the highest standards in trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed on the latest research and innovations in trauma therapy and incorporate current best practices into your work.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and disorders associated with trauma. As a mental health therapist, you will be instrumental in developing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, allowing clients to navigate their healing journey effectively. Your expertise will provide crucial support to a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults, each with unique backgrounds and trauma experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
  • Proven knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective trauma-informed intervention methodologies.
  • Experience implementing trauma-focused therapies and possessing a strong clinical acumen in mental health counseling.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.
  • The ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations is essential.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications.
  • A collaborative spirit, ready to work within a multidisciplinary team environment that prioritizes integrated patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of experience in a trauma-focused clinical setting.
