Overview The Golden State Storm is the Bay Area's professional women's football team, competing in both tackle and flag football as part of the Women's National Football Conference (WNFC). Based in Northern California, the Storm is committed to empowering women and girls in football, pursuing on-field excellence and driving meaningful change within and beyond the sport. Location: Remote (San Francisco / Oakland / Bay Area residence preferred) Commitment: Volunteer | 5โ€“10 Hours / Week Reports to: General Manager / Ownership Opportunity As the WNFC continues to set the gold standard for women's professional football, the Golden State Storm is looking for a Head of Player Development & Communication .

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the "human" side of our operations. You will be the primary architect of the player experience, ensuring our athletes are supported, informed, and empowered to succeed on the field. Key Responsibilities Central Liaison: Act as the "go-to" person for all player matters, handling overall concerns, questions, and feedback with professional care.

Operational Logistics: Manage all player-facing communications regarding equipment transfers, travel logistics, practice/game schedules, and financial requirements. Roster Oversight: Track and maintain the correct number of players for each position throughout the season to ensure roster optimization. Data & Wellness: Ensure player statistics are recorded and analyzed; collaborate with the coaching staff to provide recommendations regarding player physical and mental health.

Expectations Management: Clearly communicate team responsibilities, codes of conduct, and community event requirements. Qualifications Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple communication streams. Strong empathetic leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
