Job description

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
  • Capture and document high-level product requirements from customers, internal stakeholders, and regulatory sources.
  • Decompose requirements into functional, interface, and performance specifications for electronics, mechanical systems, and software.
  • Develop and maintain requirement traceability matrices, ensuring alignment from requirements to design artifacts, test cases, and verification activities.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to define subsystem interfaces, manage dependencies, and identify potential conflicts before they impact schedules or performance.
  • Develop and coordinate validation and verification strategies, test methods, and system-level test plans to ensure complete coverage.
  • Support integration and verification of prototypes and production units, analyzing results and recommending design or process improvements.
  • Work closely with internal and contract manufacturing teams to ensure design transfer, production readiness, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure all requirements are traceable to tests and design artifacts, maintaining proper documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, failure analysis, and continuous improvement activities to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Facilitate communication across engineering, program management, quality, and manufacturing teams to align objectives and resolve issues.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
