• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health concerns, utilizing structured tools to support accurate diagnoses.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that reflect the unique needs of each client, ensuring a person-centered approach to therapy.
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions, employing a variety of proven modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant techniques that align with clients’ therapeutic goals.
• Work collaboratively with clients to establish clear therapeutic goals, regularly assessing progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies.
• Provide teletherapy options for clients who prefer virtual sessions, addressing accessibility challenges and expanding access to care.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation as per ethical and regulatory standards, ensuring accuracy and professionalism in record-keeping.
• Participate in ongoing professional development initiatives to refine clinical competencies and remain informed about emerging best practices in the field.

At Better Self Therapy, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population grappling with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. • A current and valid state license as a Mental Health Counselor, specifically: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create and sustain a trusting therapeutic rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards diverse client experiences and challenges.
• Effective organizational skills and time management practices to maintain an efficient caseload.

• Experience working in a community health clinic or similar settings is a plus.
• Knowledge and proficiency in digital health platforms that support teletherapy services.
• Previous involvement in peer supervision or mentorship programs within a therapeutic context.

• Competitive annual salary between $80,000 and $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload managed.
