Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the beautiful Cambridge, Massachusetts area or beyond. You will have the flexibility to create your own schedule, catering to both client needs and your personal commitments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs, establishing comprehensive and personalized treatment plans that align with their goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions using secure virtual platforms, ensuring that clients feel valued and understood during each interaction.
• Foster an open and supportive relationship with clients by setting therapeutic goals, providing continuous guidance, and encouraging active participation in their own treatment journey.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), adapting your approach to meet individual preferences and efficacy.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of therapy sessions, including client progress notes and treatment modifications, adhering to best practices and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a mental health therapist at Better Self Therapy, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and more. Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Demonstrated ability to employ excellent communication and interpersonal skills in building rapport and establishing therapeutic connections through virtual platforms.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding the nuances of cultural competence in therapy.
• Proficiency in using telehealth software and technology, with the ability to adapt to new systems as needed.
• Previous experience in an outpatient setting is advantageous but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000, commensurate with experience and case load.
