Remote designers use digital tools to collaborate with clients and team members, create visual assets, and deliver design projects entirely online. This allows for flexible work hours and the opportunity to work with companies and clients from around the world. Most remote designers start their careers with an in-house position to gain industry experience and build a substantial portfolio of past projects to showcase their work to prospective employers or clients. A graphic design professional can pursue a degree in graphic design, while most employers expect architectural designers to have a bachelor’s degree in architecture and experience with CAD software. Landscape designers need a degree in landscape design or landscape architecture. Educational and work qualifications differ based on the position and company, so make sure to research specific requirements in your job search.
