As a Virtual Mental Health Therapist at New Dawn Counseling, your day-to-day activities will be dynamic and impactful. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions using video conferencing tools, ensuring that each session is both ethical and supportive.
• Utilizing solution-based treatment modalities tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing.
• Creating custom treatment plans based on detailed assessments of clients' behavioral and mental health needs.
• Providing ongoing support, helping clients gain insight into their experiences, feelings, and interpersonal relationships.
• Tracking clients' progress, adjusting treatment goals as necessary, and facilitating the development of healthy coping strategies.
• Collaborating with the clinical team to continually assess and improve service offerings and client satisfaction.

You will work predominantly with stable, low-acuity adults, addressing a variety of mental health concerns through personalized counseling approaches. Your clients will come from diverse backgrounds and may present with issues ranging from anxiety and depression to stress management and life transitions. Your role is essential in guiding them towards improved mental health and overall well-being.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current, valid license to practice in the state of Oregon. Acceptable licenses include Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• The ability to practice independently without direct supervision.
