Job description

At ezCater, we care a lot about building incredibly helpful products that our customers, catering partners, and delivery partners love to use. We're looking for a Senior Product Design Manager to lead design for our Supply domain: the tools and experiences our restaurant and catering partners use to get more orders and execute them reliably at scale.

You'll manage and grow a team of product designers working across Supply focus areas (selfservice tooling, menu management, fulfillment and delivery excellence, marketing programs, performance management, and design systems), and you'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to define and deliver a clear vision for the partner experience across our marketplace.

As Senior Product Design Manager, Supply, you'll operate at multiple levels: setting product and design strategy, raising the bar on craft and quality across squads, and coaching designers to do the best work of their careers.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the design vision for partner experiences in Supply: Define and communicate a compelling design vision for the Supply domain in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations leaders, ensuring our partner tools and workflows feel cohesive and connected across surfaces and squads.
  • Shape strategy, roadmaps, and outcomes: Collaborate with PM and Eng leads to shape roadmaps and goals for your teams, grounding decisions in partner needs, business objectives, and clear success metrics. Ensure team roadmaps are usercentered, researchinformed, and consider the broader ecosystem of Supply and Marketplace experiences.
  • Lead and grow a highperforming Supply design team: Manage, mentor, and coach a group of product designers working across multiple Supply product areas. Actively support their career development through clear goals, regular feedback, and thoughtful growth opportunities.
  • Drive excellence in craft and quality across products: Set and uphold a high bar for UX and visual quality across the partner experience, reviewing work, providing clear direction, and ensuring consistency with ezCater's design system and design principles. Take responsibility for overall design quality across the Supply surfaces your team supports.
  • Champion discovery, research, and datainformed decisions: Partner with UX Research and Analytics to deeply understand catering partner workflows and needs, and to shape problem spaces and opportunities across Supply. Ensure your teams define clear hypotheses, measure outcomes, and use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
  • Balance speed, quality, and impact: Help your teams apply ezCater's design process effectively, from exploration and concepting through to iteration and delivery, choosing the right level of fidelity and rigor for the problem at hand. Guide tradeoffs that balance partner experience quality, technical constraints, and business impact.
  • Strengthen crossfunctional collaboration: Build strong, trusting relationships with Product, Engineering, Ops, and other partners. Facilitate effective working sessions, design reviews, and crosssquad alignment so that Supply initiatives move forward with clarity and shared ownership.
  • Elevate communication and influence: Communicate complex problems and design directions in ways that are clear and compelling for different audiences, from squadlevel partners to Supply and Product leadership. Use storytelling to connect design decisions to partner needs, operational realities, and business outcomes.
  • Own team health, culture, and ways of working: Create and maintain a healthy, inclusive, and collaborative culture on your team, aligned with ezCater's values. Evolve design rituals (crits, reviews, shareouts, retros) that help your designers and crossfunctional partners do their best work.
  • Lead recruiting and hiring for your area: Partner with Design leadership and Recruiting to identify talent needs, shape role definitions, and run effective hiring processes for product designers in the Supply domain. Participate in interviews, calibrations, and decisionmaking to ensure we continue to build a diverse, highbar design team.

What You Have

  • 8+ years of experience in product/UX design, including substantial experience designing and shipping complex, multisurface products (e.g., marketplaces, B2B tools, logistics/operations platforms, or similar).
  • 3+ years of experience managing product designers, including responsibility for career development, performance, and coaching across multiple work streams.
  • Proven ability to lead product and design vision in partnership with Product and Engineering leaders, setting strategy and goals for multiple teams or product areas.
  • A strong, wellrounded design foundation: UX and interaction design, visual/UI craft, systems thinking, and comfort working with and evolving a robust design system.
  • Demonstrated experience using research and data (qualitative and quantitative) to inform design decisions, validate hypotheses, and measure impact.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills - you can frame complex problems clearly, tailor your narrative to different audiences, and facilitate productive crossfunctional discussions that lead to concrete decisions and next steps.
  • A track record of operating effectively in ambiguous problem spaces, bringing structure and clarity to messy, interconnected domains and helping teams navigate tradeoffs.
  • A leadership style rooted in empathy, direct feedback, and a growth mindset; you're generous with your time and knowledge and care deeply about building inclusive, psychologically safe teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team gatherings and other events, when applicable.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience designing for supplyside experiences in marketplaces, B2B platforms, or logistics/operations tools (e.g., partners managing menus, orders, performance, and marketing programs).
  • Experience collaborating closely with Operations, Sales, or Account Management teams who support external partners or merchants.
  • Handson experience building or scaling a multiproduct design system and partnering with frontend platform teams.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like Jobs To Be Done, service design, or similar approaches to structuring complex, crossteam problem spaces.
  • Experience working in or around the food, restaurant, catering, or delivery industries.

The national total target cash compensation range for this position, including base salary and bonus target, is $185,000-$236,000 annually.*

*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).

Please have fun with the Cover Letter portion of the application! It does not need to follow "traditional" cover letter guidelines - we would love for you to write 150-500 words explaining why you are interested in ezCater and the role, and highlighting anything else you think we should know!
