Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a fast-growing company that values innovation and teamwork? ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a  Design Specialist to contribute to electric distribution system design projects that power communities. This role is a perfect opportunity for a motivated Designer who is eager to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with industry experts, and grow within a company that prioritizes professional development.

In this role, you will utilize design software to perform basic design engineering tasks, supporting both underground and overhead electrical distribution projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for submitting, managing, and maintaining permits as required by project needs. Your role will include managing workload and projects, as well as assisting in the production of plans, specifications, reports, diagrams, and engineering documents from the preliminary scope to construction status. Travel is up to 20% of the time for field visits, project data collection, and construction coordination and verification.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with electric distribution design performing drafting and/or CAD design tasks
  • Advanced experience with AutoCAD, O-Cal and SpidaCalc
  • Experience utilizing GIS mapping software
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or other advanced education, training or certifications related to engineering design projects
