Job description

About iCOUNTER

iCOUNTER is building the future of cybersecurity.

Modern enterprises rely on thousands of third parties, suppliers, SaaS providers, contractors, and digital partners. At the same time, attackers have shifted their focus to these trusted relationships. Today, nearly half of reported breaches involve a third party, making the extended enterprise one of the largest attack surfaces in cybersecurity.

iCOUNTER is the first Risk Intelligence company built to help organizations identify, determine, and counter threats across their ecosystem. Our AI-native platform makes a Risk Determination at the point of intelligence collection, helping organizations understand what is real, what is relevant, and what requires action.

At the center of our platform is CTOS, the Counter Threat Operating System. CTOS continuously monitors adversary activity, credential exposure, targeting behavior, and ecosystem risk across third and fourth parties. It then routes intelligence into action through automated workflows and managed operations.

If you want to help define the next era of cybersecurity and build technology that helps organizations stop monitoring threats and start countering them, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

iCOUNTER is seeking a technically skilled and client-focused Sales Engineer to support the sales of our Cyber Risk Intelligence platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex cybersecurity capabilities, and the business needs of prospective clients. You will work alongside the sales team to deliver compelling technical demonstrations, guide solution design, and build confidence in our platform throughout the buying process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute sales strategies for enterprise and mid-market prospects
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand client risk environments, security maturity, and business objectives
  • Deliver tailored product demonstrations that connect platform capabilities to client-specific threat and risk scenarios
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with accurate and persuasive technical content
  • Design and manage proof-of-concept engagements, ensuring prospects experience measurable value
  • Serve as the primary technical resource during the sales cycle, addressing questions around architecture, integrations, and data handling
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay prospect feedback and influence the product roadmap
  • Support the transition from prospect to customer by partnering with the Customer Success team during onboarding
  • Work Activities
  • Prepare and deliver platform demos tailored to each prospect's industry, threat profile, and risk priorities
  • Conduct pre-call research on prospect environments, tech stacks, and relevant threat intelligence context
  • Build and maintain reusable demo environments, use cases, and technical sales collateral
  • Document findings and outcomes from discovery calls and POC engagements in the CRM
  • Participate in industry events, webinars, and conferences to represent technical expertise
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve technical blockers that arise during the sales cycle
  • Stay current on the cyber risk and threat intelligence landscape to inform conversations with technically sophisticated buyers
  • Track competitive positioning and contribute to internal enablement resources

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including threat intelligence, risk frameworks (e.g., NIST, MITRE ATT&CK), and vulnerability management
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value for both technical and executive audiences
  • Experience with enterprise software sales cycles and solution selling methodologies
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and demo/presentation platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously with strong organizational discipline
  • Completion of a Background Check is required for employment at iCOUNTER

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or technical pre-sales role
  • Background in cybersecurity, risk management, or threat intelligence (vendor or practitioner side)
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or similar are a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for on-site client engagements and industry events

Why Join iCOUNTER

This is a rare opportunity to help define a new cybersecurity category while working alongside industry pioneers, the best minds in threat intel, experienced operators, and world-class investors. You will have a direct impact on company strategy, market leadership, and the future of how organizations counter threats across their extended enterprise.

If you are energized by ambiguity, inspired by innovation, and excited to build something category-defining, we want to hear from you.
