Compensation Specialist (Remote)
Location: Remote, Ohio (Open to candidates in AL, GA, FL, IL, HI, OH, MI, MS, NC, PA, SC, TX)
Pay Rate: $38.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Length: Contract-to-Hire (Expected conversion after approximately 6 months)

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Compensation Administration experience
  • Experience conducting compensation market analysis and market pricing
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, including:
Salary structures
Market pricing
Pay equity
Compensation compliance
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR Management, or related field; combination of education and experience okay
  • Over 2 years of experience in compensation administration with solid knowledge of methodologies and compliance
  • Expertise in compensation principles including market pricing, salary structures, and pay equity
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influence others, and manage multiple projects effectively
  • Adept at researching, analyzing, and developing strategic proposals
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems
  • Knowledge of FLSA classification and labor law regulations
  • Familiarity with incentive plan development and administration
  • Experience supporting DEI initiatives related to compensation
  • Certification in Compensation or HR (e.g., CCP, SHRM-CP)
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, HR Management, or related disciplines
  • Minimum of 2+ years in compensation roles with hands-on experience in market analysis, pay structure design, and compliance management
Other Requirements:
  • Availability for occasional travel (<10%)
  • Ability to maintain focus with prolonged computer use
  • Clear background check and pre-employment drug screening
