Job Description:

The Data Architect at Elite will play a pivotal role in shaping the data architecture and reporting strategy for our platform. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, cloud technologies, and the ability to design scalable and efficient data solutions. Architects at Elite are hands-on, working with the engineering teams to deliver products to market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure services and a strong background in data architecture, data governance, and business intelligence. 

Work Arrangement: Remote 

What You'll Do:

  • Define and implement the data architecture strategy for our SaaS platform.
  • Define a data platform that allows strong data governance, sound operational control, and the flexibility needed by end customers.
  • Lead the design and guide the development of scalable models, data pipelines, and data warehouses / lakes using Azure Fabric.
  • Collaborate with product teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a data governance framework.
  • Oversee the implementation of data integration, ETL processes, and data migration strategies.
  • Design and implement advanced analytics and reporting solutions to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with other architects and engineers to design and deliver AI solutions using the most current AI practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers and architects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives. 

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 9-12 years of experience in data architecture, data management, and business intelligence
  • Extensive experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
  • Experience in the legal or financial sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up <10% as business needs require
  • Role requires the following physical capacity: Sedentary: primarily desk/computer work.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in United States; Elite does not provide employment sponsorship for this position.
