Job Description
We're seeking a visionary Senior Manager to lead our Critical Data Models (MDM) team that manages our master data platforms and models for customer, supplier, and product. You'll build and mentor a team of data experts, collaborating with stakeholders & stewards across the business to establish a single source of truth for our most critical data assets. Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
  • Define and articulate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Critical Data Models teams supporting customer, supplier, and product.
  • Develop and maintain Master Data Management (MDM) policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Evaluate and implement industry best practices and emerging trends in master data management.
  • Identify and prioritize critical data management initiatives based on business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Identify opportunities & collaborate in designing solutions for augmenting processes with AI

Delivery and Execution:
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Customer, Supplier, and Product Data Hubs.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data requirements, data quality rules, and data integration processes.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all data hubs.
  • Manage data governance processes, including data ownership, data stewardship, and data issue resolution.
  • Assess acquisition data model compatibility and create a roadmap to integrate acquisitions to master data applications successfully.

Operational Excellence:
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the Critical Data Models teams, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for the Critical Data Model programs.
  • Run best-in-class DevOps practices.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across different business units, IT, and project teams.
  • Understand their data needs and challenges, translating them into actionable data solutions and program deliverables.
  • Effectively communicate the value and the impact of Data Governance on business outcomes.

Communication and Reporting:
  • Facilitate productive communication channels between stakeholders and project teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and drive follow-up on open action items.
  • Provide regular program updates and reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Measure and communicate the impact of data modelling, literacy, and governance initiatives on business outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with AI tools, preferably Oracle AI Agent Studio.
  • Experience with Oracle MDM products including EDQ, Fusion Customer Master, and Fusion PLM.
  • Experience with Informatica MDM suite.
  • Expert understanding of integration architecture, design, and protocols.
  • Experience with leading data governance policies and standards, data quality management, and data integration strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling and process design.
  • Experience of Customer, Supplier, and Product data domains.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate, lead and develop team members to success

Target Base Salary Range: $165,000 USD - $190,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Note: Candidates in Chicago working on a hybrid schedule is preferred.

Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of IT professional experience
  • AND 5+ years of experience in Master Data Management, or leading Data & Analytics focused teams with a proven track record of success.
  • AND 5+ years of experience leading senior-level technical teams
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
