Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is seeking a Manager - Data Management with in Phoenix, AZ. This is a hybrid position based in Phoenix, AZ, requiring 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week.
Role Description & Duties:
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager, Data Management to lead enterprise data governance and quality initiatives that drive smarter decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term business value. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who can bridge business priorities and technical execution while helping shape the future state of data across the organization.
In this role, you will define and enhance data standards, governance policies, and data management processes across multiple functions. You will partner closely with business leaders and IT teams to identify gaps, improve alignment, and implement scalable solutions that strengthen data quality, consistency, and standardization. A key part of the role is translating data governance concepts into practical workflows, technical processes, and business-friendly frameworks that teams can adopt and follow.
You will also lead data cleanup and standardization efforts, support project planning and execution, define milestones and requirements, and help communicate the value of governed, trusted data across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who can influence stakeholders, challenge the status quo, and build momentum around strong data practices. Experience supporting AI-readiness through clean, governed data is highly valued.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
* 5+ years supporting complex IT or enterprise data initiatives
* 3+ years of experience in data management, data governance, data quality, or data analytics
* Prior experience leading a team or managing cross-functional projects
* Strong background in data governance, data management, and enterprise data strategy, along with the leadership skills needed to drive cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution
* Deep understanding of data governance, metadata, master data management, data architecture, data strategy, data modeling, and data standards
* Knowledge of best practices related to enterprise information management, data protection, and governance frameworks
* Experience creating data workflows, process maps, business requirements, technical requirements, and support documentation
* Proven ability to lead internal teams and/or vendors using IT project lifecycle methodologies
* Strong analytical skills, including experience with root cause analysis to identify process and data improvement opportunities
* Experience with data quality tools and related technologies
* Ability to manage multiple large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to promote adoption and influence across lines of business
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
