Attain Partners is seeking a senior Data Governance leader to expand our Data Governance consulting capabilities and offerings while helping establish and grow strategic Databricks partnerships and solutions. This role is ideal for a consulting professional who has successfully led enterprise Data Governance programs, developed market-facing solutions, and helped scale Data Governance capabilities within a consulting organization.
This position combines three primary responsibilities:
Data Governance Capability & Offering Development
Expand and scale Attain's Data Governance service offerings, methodologies, accelerators, intellectual property, and go-to-market solutions.
Databricks Partnership & Solution Development
Help establish and expand Attain's Databricks ecosystem, develop Data Governance-focused offerings, and identify new revenue opportunities.
Client Delivery Leadership
Lead enterprise Data Governance engagements and serve as a billable leader delivering strategic client solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Data Governance Capability & Offering Development
  • Expand and mature Attain's Data Governance consulting capabilities, including service offerings, methodologies, frameworks, accelerators, templates, reusable intellectual property, and go-to-market solutions.
  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Data Governance capabilities, service offerings, and market positioning.
  • Support business development efforts by participating in discovery sessions, solution design, proposal development, RFP responses, statements of work, and client presentations.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships, generate new business, and grow Data Governance-related revenue streams.
  • Mentor consultants, architects, analysts, and project teams while helping develop internal capabilities and best practices.

Client Delivery & Program Leadership
  • Lead enterprise Data Governance engagements from strategy through implementation, serving as a trusted advisor to executive, business, and technology stakeholders.
  • Conduct governance maturity assessments, current-state evaluations, target operating model design, roadmap development, and implementation planning.
  • Design and implement enterprise Data Governance operating models, including governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, governance councils, data ownership models, stewardship programs, and accountability structures.
  • Lead initiatives related to metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, master data management, and related governance capabilities.
  • Facilitate executive workshops and stakeholder sessions to drive alignment, adoption, organizational change, and governance program success.
  • Ensure governance programs align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and enterprise data management strategies.

Databricks Partnership & Solution Development
  • Help establish, strengthen, and expand Attain's Databricks partnership strategy and ecosystem presence.
  • Leverage industry relationships and partnership networks to identify alliance, business development, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and maintain a $2M-$3M+ annual Databricks opportunity pipeline and sales target.
  • Develop Data Governance-focused Databricks solutions and offerings, including governance, metadata, cataloging, lineage, data quality, Unity Catalog, and related Lakehouse governance capabilities.
  • Advise clients on modern Data Governance architectures and governance enablement within Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners to develop go-to-market offerings, solution accelerators, and service capabilities.
  • Support internal training, mentoring, and capability development related to Data Governance and Databricks offerings.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise Data Governance initiatives, programs, or consulting engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Data Governance operating models, governance frameworks, stewardship programs, policies, standards, metadata management, lineage, and data quality initiatives. Strong understanding of industry frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and DCAM is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Databricks technologies and architectures such as Delta Lake, Spark, PySpark, ETL/ELT frameworks, and Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) architecture patterns.
  • Experience building, scaling, or leading consulting capabilities, service offerings, solutions, or business functions.
  • Experience leading client engagements, facilitating executive workshops, and serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting business development efforts, including proposal development, RFP responses, solution design, and client presentations.
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud data platforms, enterprise data architecture principles, and Lakehouse architecture concepts.
  • Experience working with Databricks, including governance-related capabilities such as Unity Catalog, solution development, partner ecosystems, or alliance relationships.
  • Experience with Data Governance technologies such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog, or similar metadata, cataloging, lineage, and data quality platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Databricks certifications and/or experience working directly with Databricks partnerships and alliance programs.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic technology partnerships.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams.
