This role will be working on our Poe product.

About the Team and Role:

We are seeking a talented iOS Engineer to join us in building Poe, an innovative platform that brings together the worldโ€™s leading AI models in one place. You will work at the cutting edge of technology to design, develop, and maintain the Poe iOS app. This includes collaborating with our product team to build new AI-driven user features, crafting a scalable mobile architecture, and creating tools to speed up iteration. Youโ€™ll have a direct influence on the iOS teamโ€™s product roadmap and plenty of opportunities to shape the future of the Poe mobile platform.

Poe has experienced rapid growth so far, and as an iOS Engineer, youโ€™ll help empower users to unlock new possibilities and achieve more with AI. If you have a passion for AI, emerging technologies, and mobile development, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Work within a small team of mobile engineers to design, build, and maintain the Poe iOS app
  • Build new user-facing features and help drive the Poe product roadmap
  • Create tools and infrastructure to enable rapid development of the Poe mobile experience
  • Collaborate with the Poe product team and other engineers to enhance the overall user experience
  • Own the entire software development process from timeline estimation to coding, testing and release
Minimum Requirements:
  • Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's โ€œcoordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
  • 2+ years of full-time experience in iOS development with Swift
  • Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, and mobile trends
  • High attention to detail in all aspects of development from performance to UI
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and learn continuously
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility; whether it be fixing bugs in a timely manner or proactively identifying issues in order to unblock yourself for a given project
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with SwiftUI or GraphQL
  • Interest in working in the AI space

At Quora, we value diversity and inclusivity and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including marginalized or underrepresented groups in tech, to apply for our job openings. We encourage all candidates who share a passion for growing the worldโ€™s knowledge, even those who may not strictly meet all the preferred requirements, to apply, as we know that a diverse range of perspectives can have a significant impact on our products and our culture.
