BHSSC is seeking a Birth to Three Service Coordinator to partner with families of infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities. This rewarding role combines family support, service coordination, advocacy, and early intervention while helping children and families access the resources they need to thrive. The position works independently while collaborating with families, community partners, and early childhood professionals to create meaningful outcomes for children.Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities. Wage-$24-$26 per hour based on experienceJob Type-Full-time, non-exemptWork Location-Remote or hybrid work opportunityCandidates should be located in western or central South Dakota Schedule is approximately 30–35 hours per week, Monday through FridayJob Description-Coordinate services and supports for infants, toddlers, and families participating in the Birth to Three Program. Manage referrals, screenings, evaluations, and eligibility processes while ensuring family participation throughout the process. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that address the unique needs of each child and family. Provide case management services and help families access educational, health, social service, cultural, and community resources. Partner with families to identify strengths, resources, and supports that promote child development and family success.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, community agencies, and service providers to ensure coordinated care and support.Maintain accurate documentation, reports, assessments, and program records while meeting required timelines and compliance standards. Provide training, information, and outreach to families, professionals, community organizations, and the public regarding early intervention services.Attend required meetings, professional development opportunities, and state program trainings.Promote a family-centered approach that respects diversity, culture, and the unique needs of each child and family.Other duties as assignedJob Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in Human Development, Early Childhood Education, Education, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Two years of experience in social services, early childhood, education, family support, social work, or a related field preferred.Ability to build trusting relationships with families and collaborate effectively with community partners and professionals.
