We specialize in 1-on-1 tutoring and small-group workshops for high school students preparing for the SAT and ACT. The business is built on transparent and measurable student outcomes:

Position Overview

Position: Test Prep Tutor (SAT or/ and ACT)

Classification: Independent contractor (1099)

Hours: Up to 10 hours/week to start

Compensation: $50-$75/hour, commensurate

Format: Remote lessons, 60 minute lesson duration

Responsibilities
  • Lead 1-on-1 SAT or ACT tutoring sessions covering all sections of one or both tests
  • Use diagnostic data and practice test results to build personalized session plans for each student
  • Track student progress and adjust instruction based on performance
  • Communicate with parents as needed regarding progress, next steps, and test logistics
  • Represent us professionally
Required Qualifications
  • Earned Bachelor's degree
  • Strong recent SAT and/or ACT scores 
  • Confidence teaching all sections of one or both tests, including ACT science
  • Strong interpersonal skills with both students and parents
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage an independent schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience, particularly in standardized test prep
  • Comfort with the College Board's Bluebook app and standard digital tools
