Responsibilities
Octave is seeking an Executive Director, Global Enablement - Field Readiness to join our team. The Executive Director, Global Enablement - Field Readiness will lead the strategy, design, and execution of Octave's global field readiness system consisting of field learning, manager coaching, field communications and visibility, and partner enablement. This role is responsible for ensuring all customer-facing teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and clarity needed to execute company priorities, go-to-market initiatives, and operational changes consistently and effectively.
Scale & Operational Excellence
  • Build systems, processes, and frameworks that enable scalable execution across regions, and business units
  • Partner with the VP of global enablement to establish the enablement dashboard, reporting on readiness, adoption, and learning impact on field performance

Field Learning
  • Partner closely with the VP of global enablement to develop a prioritized, role-based learning curriculum and certification model covering all customer-facing roles
  • Design and drive the enablement learning system: curriculum, calendar, program design, content repositories, delivery, reinforcement, and measurement
  • Establish a model for identifying gaps in field knowledge, skills, coaching, and execution using both role-based competency frameworks and field leadership network
  • Demonstrate measurable behavior change and improved field execution across learning curriculum
  • Exhibit a highly visible commitment to world-class learner experience using a variety of learning tactics and approaches including JIT, peer-learning, etc. to increase impact on business outcomes

Internal Partnerships
  • Develop strong relationships across all levels of field leadership to support co-planning and review stages as a core component of program development process
  • Own and nurture the enablement relationship with corporate Learning and Development, partnering closely to drive large scale programs and company induction strategy
  • Own and align partner enablement strategy, execution, and timelines with Partner Program leaders and our technical enablement team to ensure partners are equipped to represent Octave's value, messaging, and solutions for both sales and implementation
  • Work hand in hand with internal communications leaders to manage all field communications in alignment with company strategy

Field Communications & Visibility
  • Partner closely with the VP of global enablement to develop and manage global field communications strategy and execution, including newsletters, announcements, and ongoing visibility into priorities and updates
  • Establish and manage scalable communication networks, cadences, templates, and AI tooling to connect regional field teams and provide channels for efficient information flow with global functions.
  • Own and manage the distribution of all field-related process documentation, SOPs, and other revenue operations resources.

GTM Enablement Support
  • Partner with the GTM Enablement leader to interlace the product roadmap timeline with the enablement learning calendar
  • Support all GTM launches and releases through the development and delivery of field communications and learning programs programs for each GTM initiative

Operational Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a global learning roadmap and calendar aligned to GTM initiatives, product releases, skill gaps, and business priorities
  • Define and operationalize a standardized approach for converting GTM initiatives into enablement programs
  • Establish competency models and assessment frameworks for all customer-facing functions in partnership with L&D
  • Design and implement a scalable partner enablement program with clear onboarding and certification paths
  • Build and manage a global communications system, including channels, templates, and execution workflows
  • Define success metrics and reporting for enablement effectiveness, adoption, and behavior change
  • Support the launch and reinforcement of our new, global sales methodology
  • Support the rollout and adoption of tech stack enhancements across the field, including upcoming conversational intelligence launch

Education / Qualifications
  • Proven ability to manage a team operating high efficiency enterprise-scale learning and enablement systems across multiple functions and regions
  • Operates with a modern, efficiency-first leadership mindset, setting the standard for how work gets done by leveraging AI and emerging tools to eliminate friction, simplify workflows, and systematically scale productivity and impact across teams and functions
  • Exceptional relationship builder with high emotional intelligence, known for earning trust quickly, operating with humility, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new approaches to modernize/improve effectiveness, even in established or complex environments
  • High standards for transparency and direct communication
  • Deep understanding of customer-facing roles in SaaS
  • 10+ years of experience in enablement, learning, sales, or GTM leadership roles in global, matrixed organizations
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to operate as a strategic partner to senior leadership
