Job description

Remote Status: On-Site
Job Title: Associate Copywriter
Work schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30pm
Working Model: Hybrid
Salary: $47,000 - $60,000
In this role, you will write, proofread and edit copy for a variety of printed and digital marketing materials, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, to drive revenue growth and brand awareness. You will have the opportunity to support various Jostens products and/or services and learn about many different areas of the business.
Responsibilities
  • Gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of Jostens products, services, marketing strategies and copy standards.
  • Maintain brand standards and copy voice/tone consistency across all marketing platforms/channels.
  • Attend and actively participate in project kickoff and follow-up meetings, brainstorming sessions, strategy sessions, etc.
  • Bring fresh ideas/perspectives to the table and partner with designers, art directors, marketing partners and Jostens sales reps to develop and refine content for marketing pieces.
  • Present your ideas with confidence and get buy-in from stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct market research and write, proof and edit copy for a variety of assets, including the Jostens website, marketing emails, organic social media posts, paid ads, unique promotional pieces, internal and external publications, videos, printed catalogs, brochures, flyers and more.
Required Qualifications
  • BA degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of agency, in-house or comparable creative writing experience
  • Demonstrate exceptional writing and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • A passion for the craft; need for creative exploration/expression
  • Ability to work autonomously with confidence and accuracy
  • Knowledge of copy techniques and best practices for many forms of media (e.g., websites, emails, paid ads, printed pieces)
  • Understanding of best practices for email and social media
  • Familiar with industry-standard software and internet-based research techniques; ability to transfer your research findings into real-world marketing campaigns, assets
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Flexibility and stamina — can handle a demanding, ever-changing workload
  • Can effectively juggle copy requests from multiple stakeholders and communicate roadblocks and needs
