Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director of Sales is a strategic, consultative sales professional who excels in an elevated sales environment. This role requires a motivated sales hunter who can develop and execute effective sales strategies, cultivate and manage named accounts, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets. Creating problem-solving capabilities in a complex selling environment is key. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) ecosystem and a successful track record of selling into a sophisticated buyer set. Preferably has channel sales experience and an understanding of the unique challenges in a two-sided marketplace.
This is position is fully remote.
Scope of Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, advancing deals through all stages of the sales process to closure.
  • Manage a territory of named accounts, driving growth through effective account planning, target profiling, opportunity analysis, and pipeline management.
  • Become a trusted, advisory-level partner with clients to nurture, establish, and expand relationships and bookings with individual client producers and across firms.
  • Leverage healthcare data analytics to provide valuable insights and solutions to clients.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to understand and address client challenges, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintaining close communication and providing input to optimize the sales approach.
  • Consistently update the CRM (Salesforce), documenting sales activities and maintaining an accurate sales pipeline.
Candidate Qualifications
  • 3-7 years' experience in a sales producing role
  • Proven success in a sophisticated sales environment, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Strong understanding of the PBM or pharmacy ecosystem, with a preference for experience in the employee benefits sectors.
  • Channel sales experience and understanding of two-sided marketplace challenges.
  • Preferred, not required: familiarity with the role of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs).
  • Experience with strategic and analytical approaches to building sales pipelines and achieving sales goals.
  • Experience with healthcare data analytics, particularly in interpreting and utilizing health-related data to drive sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and deals simultaneously, overseeing internal and external processes and communications.
  • Self-starter with a high comfort level in consultative selling and a strong bias for action.
  • Metrics-driven approach to sales, utilizing strategic demand generation, lead generation, and pipeline management.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to absorb and apply content effectively in sales situations.

Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Truveris's total compensation package for employees.
