Remote Counting information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Counter, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Counter, you need strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and often a background in data entry or inventory management. Familiarity with spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and experience with inventory tracking systems, are typically required. Excellent time management, self-motivation, and clear communication are crucial soft skills for working independently and meeting deadlines. These skills ensure reliable and efficient remote counting, supporting accurate records and operational decisions for organizations.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote counting roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote counting roles often encounter challenges such as maintaining accuracy without direct supervision, managing distractions in a home environment, and communicating effectively with remote teams. To address these, it's important to establish a dedicated workspace, utilize reliable digital tools for counting and verification, and set regular check-ins with team members to ensure alignment. Adhering to standardized procedures and double-checking work can also help reduce errors and build trust with supervisors.

What is the difference between Remote Counting vs Remote Bookkeeping?

AspectRemote CountingRemote Bookkeeping
CredentialsAccounting or finance background, certifications like CPA or CMABookkeeping certifications, QuickBooks or Xero proficiency
Work EnvironmentFinancial institutions, accounting firms, or freelanceSmall businesses, accounting firms, or freelance
Industry UsageCommon in finance, accounting, and auditing sectorsWidely used in small business management and accounting

Remote Counting and Remote Bookkeeping both involve financial data management but differ mainly in scope. Counting typically focuses on verifying financial figures and audits, often requiring advanced certifications. Bookkeeping involves recording daily financial transactions and is more accessible with basic accounting skills. Both roles are essential in finance and are frequently sought in remote work settings.

How to make $100,000 a year working from home?

Remote counting jobs, such as remote accounting or bookkeeping roles, can offer high earning potential if you have relevant certifications, strong financial skills, and experience. To reach a $100,000 annual income, professionals often need to work full-time, specialize in niche areas, or manage multiple clients using accounting software and remote communication tools.

What are remote counting jobs?

Remote counting jobs involve tasks where individuals count, tally, or verify data, items, or transactions from a remote location, often using digital tools or software. These jobs can include inventory counting, auditing, data entry, or reviewing financial transactions, all performed online or from home. Remote counting positions are common in industries like retail, finance, and logistics, and typically require attention to detail and basic computer skills. They allow for flexibility and can be either part-time or full-time roles depending on the employer’s needs.

Can I get a remote job in accounting?

Remote accounting jobs are widely available and often require proficiency with accounting software, strong organizational skills, and relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA. Many companies offer remote positions for roles like bookkeeper, accountant, or financial analyst, with flexible schedules and the ability to work from home.

Will CPA be replaced by AI?

The Certified Public Accountant (CPA) profession involves complex financial analysis, auditing, and advisory work that currently require human judgment and expertise. While AI can automate routine tasks like data entry and basic calculations, it is unlikely to fully replace CPAs in roles that demand critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and client interaction in the near future.

How can I make 2000 a week working from home?

Remote counting jobs typically pay per task or hour, and earning $2000 weekly requires consistent high-volume work, strong attention to detail, and efficient time management. To reach this income, you may need to work full-time hours, develop fast counting skills, and use tools like spreadsheets or specialized software. Building a reputation for accuracy can also lead to higher-paying opportunities or bonuses.

Job description

Established in 2004, OLIVER is the world’s first and only specialist in designing, building, and running bespoke in-house agencies and marketing ecosystems for brands. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our unique model drives creativity and efficiency, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate deeply with audiences.

As a part of The Brandtech Group, we\'re at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work. Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

Role:  Account Manager

Location:  Chicago,IL (Remote)

The Account Manager manages the day-to-day relationship between marketing teams and the OLIVER studio across one or more business units. You are responsible for brief management, project tracking, stakeholder communication, and the smooth flow of work through the OMG system. You partner with Integrated Project Managers in Mexico City to ensure production milestones are met and flagged issues are resolved proactively.

Based in Minneapolis, MN you\'ll be part of a three-person Account Management team supporting the Business Director in delivering a seamless, high-volume content production operation across our client’s organization.  Working at the heart of a brand means integrating seamlessly across your client\'s business and evolving needs — and that is central to how OLIVER works.

This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments and genuinely enjoys being embedded in a client\'s world.

We support flexible working and are open to different arrangements. We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the process.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage a portfolio of active briefs across one or more business units — from brief intake through delivery — ensuring all projects are tracked, resourced, and delivered to agreed SLAs
  • Build strong working relationships with marketing stakeholders, acting as a responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive day-to-day contact
  • Work within OMG to raise, track, and close briefs; maintain up-to-date project status information and support proactive alerting on potential bottlenecks
  • Partner with Integrated Project Managers (Mexico City) to coordinate production milestones, manage dependencies, and ensure seamless cross-location delivery
  • Support the preparation of weekly status reports and QBR documentation under the guidance of the Business Director
  • Manage stakeholder expectations around timelines, creative scope, and delivery — communicating clearly, proactively, and without jargon
  • Review briefs for completeness and clarity before routing to the creative and production team; escalate ambiguities promptly
  • Track and flag scope changes, version control issues, or resourcing risks to the Business Director and Program Director
  • Contribute to the studio\'s insider culture: present, curious, and deeply engaged with university brands, programs, and priorities

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Experience in an account management, client services, or project management role in a creative, marketing, or content production environment
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams without losing detail or momentum
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills — comfortable with direct client interaction at marketing manager and director level
  • A proactive, solutions-first working style; you flag problems early and come with a suggested path forward
  • Familiarity with project management or workflow systems (OMG, Workfront, Asana, or similar)
  • An understanding of creative production workflows — briefing, resourcing, review, and delivery — in a multi-channel content environment
  • Interest in or familiarity with higher education or healthcare marketing is a plus
  • Comfort working across a multi-location team and collaborating remotely with nearshore colleagues in Mexico City
  • Curiosity about how AI tools can enhance account management and creative production workflows
  • Willingness to develop proficiency with Pencil and OMG\'s AI-assist features as part of ongoing studio development
  • Agentic mindset: ability to break down complex multi-brief workloads into clear, manageable priorities
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $97,750.00 to $109,250.00 USD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
