Summary:
At Aptiv, we inspire the world's most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a strategic Cost Optimization Project Manager to lead the identification, execution, and delivery of company-wide cost savings initiatives and strategic projects.
This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance to translate strategic priorities into executable projects and measurable business outcomes, while owning upward reporting to ensure leadership has clear, timely insight into progress, risks, and financial impacts.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Execution
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of cost savings and strategic supply chain projects across Aptiv sites, developing structured project plans covering scope, milestones, owners, risks, and dependencies.
  • Drive execution across Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Engineering, owning the project governance cadence and monthly reviews.

Operational & Financial Leadership
  • Partner with Finance to define and validate savings methodologies for cost-related initiatives, ensuring all projects deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead redesign efforts to improve cost, efficiency, and scalability, while preparing and delivering clear, concise reporting for leadership.

Position Requirements:
Education & Technical Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of project management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment (experience in interconnect, cable, harness, or connector manufacturing is strongly preferred).
  • Industry Domain: Demonstrated success leading cost reduction initiatives with a strong ability to interpret complex data and financial impacts.

Certifications & Competencies:
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma (preferred).
  • Systems Proficiency: ERP systems, Google Workspace, Salesforce.com, ADP Lyric.
  • Core Competencies: Accountability, Collaboration, and Empowerment (ACE). Ability to deliver executive-level presentations.
