Centuria Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team remotely. In this full-time Telehealth role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional mental health care to individuals in need. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop customized treatment plans, and facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough preliminary evaluations and document client cases meticulously, tracking their progress from first contact through the entire course of their treatment.
  • Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop tailored intervention strategies that reflect their unique needs.
  • Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s circumstances.
  • Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of counseling techniques to foster a safe and supportive space for clients.
  • Monitor client progress against established treatment goals, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure a collaborative and effective recovery pathway.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Provide follow-up support for clients discharged from hospital settings, ensuring continuity of care and addressing any emergent needs.
  • Educate and support family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to understand and manage mental health challenges.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily engage with a diverse population experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your approach will prioritize cultural competence and sensitivity, ensuring that all clients feel understood and valued regardless of their background.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license to practice as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
  • Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated clinical experience as a mental health counselor.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, with preference for familiarity with AVATAR software.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with individuals facing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.
  • Substantial insight into addiction disorders and their treatment.
  • Knowledge of best practices as defined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
