Work Environment

This part-time position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while still providing direct support to clients. Our outpatient office in Greenbelt, Maryland, serves as a hub for collaboration and resources. Therapists will have the opportunity to engage with a supportive team of mental health professionals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. While much of the work is conducted online, in-office meetings and training sessions may occur periodically to maintain a strong team dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychotherapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, providing the necessary emotional support and therapeutic guidance.
• Evaluate clients' mental health needs through assessments and interviews to develop customized treatment plans that align with their goals.
• Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and systems theory, to facilitate healing and personal growth.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings for case consultation, best practice discussions, and peer support to enhance treatment strategies.
• Stay updated with current trends and advancements in marriage and family therapy to deliver high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We serve individuals and families facing challenges such as relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. As an LMFT, you will play a pivotal role in helping clients navigate their issues, fostering deeper connections and healthier family dynamics. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Maryland.
• Demonstrated expertise in various therapeutic modalities catering to both individuals and families.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for articulating clients’ needs and progress effectively.
• Empathetic interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within outpatient settings, particularly with couples and families.
• Knowledge of community resources and support systems to provide comprehensive client care.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining high-quality therapeutic standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $50,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience and productivity.
