Position Overview

Kindred Connections Society is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team in Oxnard, California. This full-time remote position offers a unique opportunity for the right candidate to engage in meaningful clinical practice, supporting individuals, couples, and families while leveraging their clinical interests. You will have the flexibility to design your caseload to reflect your expertise, whether it be in trauma recovery, family dynamics, couples therapy, or managing anxiety and depression.

Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing for flexible working arrangements that support a good work-life balance. As part of our outpatient group practice, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including licensed psychologists, clinical social workers, and administrative staff, while delivering therapy in a supportive virtual environment. The practice operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, enabling you to structure your day productively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy sessions following the guidelines set forth by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments of clients, developing individualized and evidence-based treatment plans suitable for their unique circumstances.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical practices.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions and case consultations with a diverse team of clinicians to enhance the therapeutic approach for clients.
  • Work within digital platforms to facilitate remote therapy sessions effectively, utilizing tools that promote engagement and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Participate in regular supervision and peer consultation groups, sharing insights and best practices to foster community among peers.
  • Prioritize client confidentiality and uphold the highest ethical and legal standards in your practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a wide-ranging group of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our team values diversity and inclusivity, ensuring that all clients feel represented and respected during their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications
  • Valid and unrestricted LMFT license in California.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience, with a strong focus on psychotherapy practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficient in the utilization of electronic health records and other technology platforms relevant to therapy practice.
  • Strong clinical skills in dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community mental health setting or group practice.
  • Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and techniques related to family and couples therapy.
  • Familiarity with digital therapy tools and best practices in remote therapy delivery.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented with a comprehensive benefits package.
