Instacart's BGC Compliance team takes data-driven, customer-first approaches to ensure we are compliant with all local, state and federal regulations regarding delivery fulfillment. This role blends adjudicating background checks, resolving both internal and external escalations, and identifying onboarding issues to keep the Instacart platform secure, safe, and stable for all users. 

We're hiring a BGC Compliance Specialist to execute on processes critical to platform integrity and compliance at scale. The person in this role will have direct impact on the safety and stability of the Instacart platform for shoppers and customers alike.

 What you'll cook up in your first year
  • Background checks are adjudicated accurately and with strong attention to detail, ensuring the Instacart platform remains compliant with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Internal and external escalations around background checks are investigated and resolved in a timely manner, maintaining a secure and stable experience for all users
  • Background check issues are identified, investigated, and driven to full resolution, with opportunities to improve surfaced and actioned
  • Repetitive operational tasks are executed with precision and attention to detail, with process improvement opportunities identified that increase team efficiency and scalability
